Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Decide Your Money. By accessing or using any part of our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms are governed by Australian law, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the ACL that cannot be lawfully excluded.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing decideyourmoney.com or using any Decide Your Money product or service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) and that you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
For paid products: Before completing any purchase, you must actively confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer by selecting the required checkbox at checkout. No purchase can proceed without this confirmation.
2. Services Offered
Decide Your Money provides the following service:
The 10-Second Money Method (paid — $47 USD)
A digital guide explaining the full five-rule personal finance method. For informational and educational purposes only. Does not constitute financial advice.
Pricing and currency: All prices are displayed in the currency indicated at the time of checkout. Decide Your Money reserves the right to change the currency of pricing at any time. Any change in currency applies to future purchases only and will be clearly displayed at checkout. You are solely responsible for any currency conversion fees, foreign transaction charges, or exchange rate differences applied by your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
3. Not Financial Advice — No Professional Relationship
Decide Your Money does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is not authorised to provide financial product advice under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). We do not provide “personal advice” or “general advice” as those terms are defined in section 766B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). Nothing on this website — including The 10-Second Money Method, the website content, social media posts, emails, or any other materials we publish — constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other regulated professional service. Our content does not contain recommendations to acquire, hold, or dispose of any financial product, security, or investment.
All content is published for general informational and educational purposes only. It is generic in nature and does not take into account your personal financial situation, objectives, or needs. Before making any financial decision, you should consult a licensed financial adviser, accountant, lawyer, or other relevant professional who can assess your specific circumstances.
Investment risk warning: Where The 10-Second Money Method or any other Decide Your Money material discusses investing or saving, it describes general principles only and does not recommend any specific investment, asset class, security, fund, or product. All investments carry risk, including risk of loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You should not invest based solely on information from Decide Your Money. Consult a licensed financial adviser before making any investment decision.
No income, savings, or outcome claims: Decide Your Money makes no representation or warranty that any user will achieve any specific financial result, savings amount, income outcome, or other outcome from using our content. Examples, case studies, or illustrative figures (if any) are not typical and are provided for explanatory purposes only. Individual results vary based on personal circumstances, behaviour, market conditions, and many other factors outside our control.
No professional relationship: Your use of Decide Your Money — including the purchase and use of any product or service — does not create a financial adviser–client relationship, a fiduciary relationship, a legal adviser–client relationship, or any other professional or regulated relationship between you and Decide Your Money. You acknowledge and agree that all decisions you make based on information provided by Decide Your Money are your own.
4. Use of the Service
By using Decide Your Money, you agree to:
- Use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
- Upload only bank statements or transaction data that you are authorised to share.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
- Not use the service to process data belonging to another person without their explicit written consent.
- Not attempt to circumvent any payment gate or access paid features without purchase.
- Not use any content, report, or template for commercial resale or redistribution.
User-generated content: Decide Your Money does not currently host comments, reviews, forums, or other user-generated content (UGC) on the website. If we add such functionality in the future, any opinions, claims, or representations made by users will be those of the individual user only and not of Decide Your Money. We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any UGC and reserve the right to remove any UGC at our sole discretion.
5. User Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Decide Your Money, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the service.
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Your upload of bank statement data belonging to another person without their consent.
- Any action you take (or fail to take) based on information provided by Decide Your Money.
- Any third-party claim arising from your use of any guide, framework, or content provided by Decide Your Money.
This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your use of the service.
6. Payments, Refunds, and Consumer Guarantees
Paid products are billed in the currency displayed at checkout. Payment must be made in full before access is granted. All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Decide Your Money does not store full credit card numbers or payment credentials.
Checkout consent requirement: You must confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer before completing any purchase. This confirmation is recorded and forms part of our agreement with you.
GST and consumption tax: Decide Your Money is registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) with the Australian Taxation Office (effective 15 November 2025). Prices displayed are GST-inclusive for Australian consumers. Decide Your Money remits the applicable GST portion to the Australian Taxation Office from its margin and does not collect GST as an additional charge at checkout. For consumers outside Australia, the displayed price is the total amount payable; no Australian GST, EU VAT, UK VAT, or other consumption tax is collected by Decide Your Money at checkout. Where local consumption tax obligations apply to you under the laws of your own jurisdiction, you are responsible for any self-assessment or reporting required by those laws. Currency conversion fees, foreign transaction charges, or exchange rate differences applied by your bank or card issuer are your responsibility.
Australian Consumer Law guarantees: Under the ACL, consumers have non-excludable guarantees in relation to goods and services. If a product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, refund, or compensation). These rights cannot be excluded and apply regardless of any other term in this agreement.
Satisfaction guarantee (14-day money-back): If you are not satisfied with any paid digital product, contact us at our contact form within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. No questions asked. This guarantee applies to The 10-Second Money Method and is offered voluntarily on top of any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law (including the EU and UK Right of Withdrawal described in section 6A below). This guarantee does not limit any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
6A. EU and UK Consumer Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) days of conclusion of the contract, without giving any reason.
Digital content delivered immediately: The 10-Second Money Method and any other downloadable digital content sold by Decide Your Money are delivered to you immediately on completion of payment. Under EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations Regulation 37(1)(a), you lose the Right of Withdrawal once performance of the contract has begun, provided that:
- You have given your express prior consent for performance to begin during the 14-day withdrawal period; and
- You have acknowledged that you will lose your Right of Withdrawal once performance has begun.
Your express consent and acknowledgement: By selecting the consent checkbox at checkout and completing your purchase of digital content, you expressly request that delivery begin immediately and you acknowledge that you will lose your Right of Withdrawal as soon as the download is made available to you. If you do not wish to give this consent, do not complete the purchase.
Voluntary refund still available: Notwithstanding the loss of your statutory Right of Withdrawal, our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee in section 6 above still applies. You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at our contact form.

9. Referral Link Disclosure
Some links on Decide Your Money may be referral links. Where this is the case, it will be noted clearly. 11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (and subject to any non-excludable rights under the ACL), Decide Your Money is not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses.
- Financial loss arising from reliance on guides, estimates, content, or any educational material.
- Loss of data, content access, or downloads due to technical failures.
- Actions taken (or not taken) by you in response to information from Decide Your Money.
- Currency conversion fees, foreign transaction charges, or exchange rate differences.
- Losses arising from your investment, savings, or financial decisions.
Where our liability cannot be excluded under the ACL, our liability is limited to the lesser of: (a) resupply of the service; or (b) refund of the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Aggregate cap: In no event shall Decide Your Money’s aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of the service exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product giving rise to the claim. For free or low-value services where no payment was made, our aggregate liability is capped at one hundred Australian dollars (AUD 100).
Time limit on claims: Any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service must be brought within twelve (12) months from the date the cause of action arose. Claims brought after this period are barred to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us to attempt informal resolution. We will endeavour to respond within 14 days. If informal resolution is unsuccessful within 30 days, either party may pursue formal remedies.
Individual claims only (no class actions): To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all claims and disputes between you and Decide Your Money must be brought on an individual basis only. You agree not to participate in any class action, collective action, mass action, representative action, or consolidated proceeding against Decide Your Money. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by Australian law (including the Australian Consumer Law) or by other mandatory consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded by agreement.
13. Service Availability and Force Majeure
Decide Your Money is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with or without notice, subject to any applicable consumer guarantees under the ACL.
Force majeure: Decide Your Money will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action or regulation, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, power failures, or failures of third-party service providers (including hosting, payment, or email providers). We will use reasonable efforts to resume service as soon as practicable.
14. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the use of Decide Your Money will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the federal courts of Australia.
International users: If you access Decide Your Money from outside Australia, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction. By using the service, you agree that these terms are governed by Australian law and you submit to the jurisdiction of Australian courts. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by agreement.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed from these terms and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Decide Your Money regarding your use of the service. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide at least 14 days' prior notice before the change takes effect (for example, by email if you have provided one, or by prominent notice on the website). Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with a material change, you should stop using the service before the change takes effect.
18. About the cheat sheet (online bonus)
When you purchase The 10-Second Money Method, you receive two assets:
- The PDF guide. This is the core product. Once downloaded, it is yours to keep, share, and use as you wish, subject to the licensing terms stated in the PDF.
- The online cheat sheet. This is a complimentary online tool we provide to help you apply the method. It is accessed via a personal link sent to your email after purchase. The cheat sheet is hosted on our servers and may be discontinued, modified, or replaced at our discretion at any time. If we discontinue the cheat sheet, the method itself continues to function fully through the PDF guide.
To preserve your progress at any time, you can use the Print button at the top of the cheat sheet to generate a physical or PDF copy of any tab. We recommend printing or saving a copy if you want a permanent record of your entries.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the cheat sheet. We do not guarantee that the personal link will work indefinitely. Your purchase of The 10-Second Money Method is for the PDF guide; the cheat sheet is a free bonus that enhances the experience but is not a separate product.
If you lose access to your personal link, you can recover it by visiting decideyourmoney.com/companion and entering the email you used at purchase.
